These Terms of Service govern access to and use of DeafNews, an editorial platform dedicated to news, analysis and in-depth articles on technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, hardware, software and digital innovation.
By accessing or using the site, the user declares to have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not intend to accept them, you must stop using the service.
1. Scope of service
DeafNews provides an informational and editorial service that allows users to consult articles, topic pages, hashtags, related content, aggregate statistics and features connected to reading and sharing content.

By publishing content on the site, the user grants DeafNews a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence for the duration necessary to manage the service, to host, reproduce, adapt, archive, display and make such content available within the platform and its distribution channels.
6. Moderation and enforcement
DeafNews may, without prior notice, remove or restrict access to content, comments, accounts or features when it considers, in good faith, that doing so is necessary to:
- enforce these Terms
- prevent abuse, fraud, spam or security risks
- comply with legal obligations or requests from competent authorities
- protect users, third parties, infrastructure or the service's reputation
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the site, editorial structure, software, design, original texts, layouts, the DeafNews brand and other distinctive elements of the platform are protected by intellectual property law and belong to DeafNews or their respective owners.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DeafNews is not liable for indirect, consequential, reputational, data loss, lost opportunity, lost profit or business interruption damages arising from the use of or inability to use the site.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including non-waivable rights recognised to users qualifying as consumers.
12. Indemnification

15. Applicable law and non-waivable rights
These Terms are governed by Italian law, subject to the possible application of more favourable mandatory rules recognised to the user as a consumer under the law of their habitual country of residence.
Non-waivable rights provided by applicable consumer protection, data protection and e-commerce laws remain in force in any case.
